Candle filters (also known as candle-shaped filters) are the core components of main engine lubricating oil filters and are widely used in the lubrication systems of marine vessels, thermal power and nuclear power equipment, metallurgy, petrochemical and other industrial fields for pollution control. The filter element is made of stainless steel and consists of a multi-pored support tube and a filter screen layer, with a continuous gap formed on the surface that is narrower on the outside and wider on the inside. The filtration accuracy range is 20–180 μm. Based on the interception filtration principle, the filter element can effectively retain particle impurities and gradually form a filter cake layer; when the system pressure difference exceeds the set limit, an automatic compressed gas backflushing program is triggered to efficiently remove impurities from the surface of the filter screen and achieve regeneration.
